Klara became homeless following an accident in Thailand that took away her husband and left her physically disabled.

What is Budapest Street Project?

Our mission is to help ease human suffering in the homeless community through good deeds, raising awareness and supporting local charities that specifically help the homeless.

  • We support volunteers in doing good, simple deeds for homeless people such as talking or reading.
  • We generate awareness by telling individual stories of homeless people. Their stories help us better understand the problem and help prevent future cases.
  • We raise funds by selling original Budapest prints and artwork from designers and artists and donate 50% of the proceeds to charities that support the homeless in our city.

There are 3 ways to get involved:

Buy from our WEBSHOP

Buy a unique piece of Budapest art and design from our webshop - half the proceeds go to a loca charity that you chose.

Klara’s story

In 2005, Klara and her husband sold their flat and decided to move abroad and create a new life together. Today, she is homeless on the streets of Budapest.
